S2

S2 is a 24’ diameter, 11’ tall interactive audiovisual installation. It is a 3v geodesic dome made of EMT conduit, whose interior is covered in a matrix of 10,000 individually controlled LEDs. Interaction is controlled by a 6” brass sphere on a gooseneck reaching up from in the middle of the dome. The user controls the patterns on the LED rig and the soundscape by moving the sphere in space. The installation has a number of patches, which are changed by pressing the button on the sphere. Each patch is a different audiovisual interactive synchronization. The piece ranges from ambient to extremely aggressive.
